We are seeking a Director of Global Response to join Medtronic's Global Security function within the Global Facilities & Security. Medtronic's Global Security function is responsible for keeping our people, assets, and products safe and secure globally.
In this hands-on, high-impact role, you will be the face and leader of Medtronic's global response team - responsible for guiding Medtronic through its response to incidents, events, and crises. You will be accountable for managing Medtronic's response to facilities events - leveraging our Global Response Center, security incidents, threat investigations, and global crises as they arise. You will be the key point of reference for responding to any incident that impacts Medtronic's staff, facilities, or ability to deliver our products - the face of our global response.
This position will be onsite, based at a Medtronic site in the contiguous United States:

Requires up to 20% travel per year.
As the Director of Global Response, your key responsibilities will be:
  • Lead a global response function into the future with the focus on being the responsive function at Medtronic.
  • Build a world-leading response program that protects the safety and security of our people and assets - regardless of location or time of day.
  • Clearly define response operating procedures to ensure Medtronic responds to incidents in One Best Way - consistently, globally.
  • Ensure thresholds are in place for the escalation of incidents to crises - again, ensuring Medtronic is as responsive as possible to global events
  • Manage security vendors through a rigorous model; define service level agreements (SLAs) and hold partners accountable.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10+ years of experience in program management, operations, or workplace services within a large-scale corporate environment and 7+ years of managerial experience, OR an advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in program management, operations, or workplace services within a large-scale corporate environment and 7+ years of managerial experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing 24x7 incident response and managing executive-level crisis response.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale organizational transformations.
  • Ability to influence and earn trust with a diverse set of stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Must maintain a current and valid Passport, with the ability to travel internationally up to 20%.

Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to use data (e.g., SQL, Power BI, or Tableau) to drive decision-making and uncover actionable insights.
  • Strong "bias for action" with the ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of industry trends in security and facilities operations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$164,800.00 - $247,200.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico. Base pay is based on numerous factors and may vary by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, etc. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
