Job description

Responsibilities
The vision of Global Music is to build a global community which enables users to discover, understand, create music, and express themselves and communicate with each other through music in the easiest manner. One of the key products under the Global Music team is SoundOn, which is an all-in-one platform powered by TikTok, designed to better service music creators through each step of their career - from TikTok integrated promotion tools to universal music distribution, from diverse monetization opportunities to smart music creation. SoundOn exists to give every music creator & label the power to authentically connect with new audiences and "do music" their way. TikTok is seeking a stellar finance BP who will be one of the critical finance partners to drive the success of SoundOn & TikTok Artist Services business. This role is based in Los Angeles. The new hire will work closely with TikTok Artist Services team to ensure the financial components of deals are optimised, be responsible for artist royalties including tracking, reporting and analysis. The new hire will play an integral role in assisting with the business decisions and will act as a strategic partner to Global Music team. Responsibilities: - Develop a deep understanding of the operations and financial processes of the music copyright business, and provide practical, actionable financial support and solutions. - Participate in project initiation, contract approvals, and the review of various expenditures; help business teams identify potential financial risks and develop effective risk prevention and control measures. - Assist business teams in preparing annual budgets, track budget execution, and conduct regular business performance analysis to support data-driven decision-making by regional teams. - Work with headquarters to build and optimize the management reporting system, drive report automation and data quality improvements, and enhance the transparency and timeliness of financial data. - Leverage data analysis tools and technologies to build financial analysis models and improve automation capabilities; dig deep into key metrics and trends within business and financial data, and deliver insightful analytical reports. - Maintain close communication with business teams, share financial information and analysis results in a timely manner, and support the business in improving operational efficiency and financial control.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree with a major in Finance or Accounting required. - 5+ years of experience as a Finance BP or in a related role. - Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines. - Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Background in the music, internet, tech, or consulting industries is a plus. - Advanced in excel, word, PPT, etc. SQL and Power BI is preferred.

[For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $102600 - $209380 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
