Candidate Profile
We are seeking a hands-on, highly collaborative Vice President of Global Accounting & Finance to architect and scale the accounting, treasury, and finance operations function at one of the fastest-growing PE-backed studio platforms in the world. This is a rare opportunity to strengthen the financial backbone of a global enterprise by designing systems, shaping processes, and leading a team through a period of extraordinary growth. This role is best suited for a self-starting accounting leader who thrives in lean, multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional environments and brings both strategic vision and operational discipline.
In this role, you will serve as the CFO's hands-on partner on accounting, reporting, treasury, and compliance matters, with direct oversight of a U.S. team and coordination with the UK accounting team. The function also leverages external consultants across tax, audit, and lease accounting. The position blends technical accounting depth, operational leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibility Areas
Team Leadership
Build and mentor a lean, high-performing team scaling to institutional-grade operations, with a highly collaborative, team-first approach.
Global Consolidation & Reporting
Responsible for the quarterly HoldCo consolidation across all global subsidiaries, including the U.S., UK, and Australia. Manage multi-entity intercompany accounting and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages to lenders in compliance with credit agreement covenants. Drive faster cycle times as the company grows.
Debt Compliance
Monitor financial covenants, maintain compliance documentation, and provide the CFO with proactive visibility into headroom and emerging risks.
Development Accounting & Fixed Assets
Oversee CIP accounting, cost and interest capitalization, depreciation schedules, and coordination with development teams on project costs and draw requests.
Audit Management
Lead U.S. HoldCo audit relationships and maintain internal controls.
Treasury & Cash Management
Oversee global multi-currency cash positioning, intercompany funding, liquidity optimization, and banking relationships.
Payroll, Benefits & Insurance
Work with the HR Manager on U.S. payroll processing, benefits administration, and lead U.S. property and casualty insurance programs.
Lease Accounting
Ensure ASC 842 compliance, oversee rent roll management, CAM reconciliations, and lease-related financial disclosures across the global portfolio.
Tax Oversight
Manage multi-jurisdictional tax compliance in coordination with external advisors, and support ad hoc tax structuring analysis.
Scalability & Technology
Lead adoption of AI-powered tools and automation, serve as functional owner of NetSuite, and design scalable processes to support continued platform growth.
External Advisor Coordination
Serve as a key point of contact for the company's U.S. external advisor network, including Big 4 tax and audit firms and technical accounting consultants, ensuring seamless integration with internal operations.
Qualifications
Experience
10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional operations. Background in real estate, entertainment, or studio accounting strongly preferred.
Accounting
Strong command of U.S. GAAP with working familiarity of IFRS. Deep knowledge of ASC 842 lease accounting, debt compliance reporting, covenant calculations, and external audit management. Familiarity with employee benefits administration and U.S. payroll compliance.
Systems & Technology
Strong proficiency in NetSuite, including multi-subsidiary and multi-currency configurations; AP automation platforms; disciplined approach to document management; excellent Excel skills; and a demonstrated openness to leveraging AI and automation tools.
Leadership
Collaborative, team-first leader with a proven track record of developing and retaining talent. Self-starter with strong cross-functional communication skills across legal, operations, HR, and executive leadership.
Credentials and Background
Big 4 experience and a CPA designation are a plus but not required.
