Advisory Consultant Lead: Water Infrastructure, Asset Mgt/Utilities Management

The Advisory Consultant Lead: Water Infrastructure, Asset Mgt/Utilities Management will drive the growth and strategic advancement of TYLin's integrated advisory platform across Asset Management, Decision Intelligence, and Resiliency & Risk. Serving as the recognized leader for Water Advisory within the broader Advisory Practice, this role builds and sustains strong relationships with clients, regulators, industry organizations, and strategic partners while elevating TYLin's market position. At the Principal level, this leader provides firmwide authority on infrastructure strategy, lifecycle optimization, and enterprise decision frameworks within the water sector. Operating with a Generous Mindset, they foster collaboration, share expertise, and deliver integrated solutions that improve client outcomes and strengthen TYLin's competitive advantage.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and grow the Water Advisory practice, advancing market strategy, technical excellence, and thought leadership across infrastructure strategy, asset management, resilience, and decision intelligence.
  • Build and guide a high-performing, multidisciplinary team, fostering inclusion, knowledge sharing, and collaboration across Organizational Advisory, Technology Advisory, and engineering business units.
  • Leverage TYLin's global capabilities to deliver integrated solutions, expand market reach, and drive profitable growth while modeling the firm's Generous Mindset.

Team Management and Development

  • Oversee talent development and workforce planning, partnering with Human Resources and Talent Attraction, on performance management, staffing strategy, and recruitment.
  • Cultivate an inclusive, accountable culture focused on excellence and impact.

Business Development & Market Growth

  • Identify and develop near- and long-term advisory growth opportunities across strategic markets.
  • Establish and execute measurable annual sales and revenue targets.
  • Partner with Client Account Managers to deepen relationships and expand advisory services within existing accounts.
  • Lead strategic pursuits, including teaming strategy, proposal development, interviews, and go/no-go decisions.
  • Drive cross-selling and integration of advisory and engineering services.

Project Delivery & Client Impact

  • Serve as Project Principal on major engagements, ensuring scope, quality, financial performance, and risk oversight.
  • Guide clients in aligning capital programs with regulatory drivers, asset performance data, resilience objectives, and long-term financial planning.
  • Apply risk-informed planning, lifecycle cost analysis, and enterprise decision methodologies to complex infrastructure challenges.
  • Develop resource plans and workload forecasts to ensure sustainable delivery.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality work aligned with TYLin's standards of excellence.
  • Travel as required to support clients and teams.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in engineering, public policy, planning, economics, systems engineering, or related discipline.
  • 1525+ years of progressive leadership experience in infrastructure advisory, asset management, resilience planning, or strategic consulting within A/E/C or public sector environments.
  • Expertise in asset lifecycle management, enterprise risk frameworks, resilience strategy, and data-driven decision tools.
  • Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong business development capabilities with an established professional network.
  • Executive-level communication skills and ability to influence within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Commitment to innovation, integrity, continuous improvement, and inclusive leadership.

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $168,000 - 247,000 annually for this position and local market.
