Unistrut Installation Foreman

Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 10-hour days, 5 days per week
Travel: Required (overnight travel as needed)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Unistrut Installer Foreman to lead field crews installing Unistrut metal framing systems, ceiling supports, and related structural components on commercial and industrial construction projects. This role is responsible for crew leadership, field coordination, productivity, quality control, and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise Unistrut installation crews on active job sites

  • Coordinate with general contractors, other trades, and site supervision - conduct daily toolbox talks and enforce PPE and site safety rules

  • Interpret blueprints/drawings (structural, mechanical, and architectural) , specifications, and scope of work prior to and during installation

  • Perform field measurements, layout, and elevation/line control (laser level, total station, tape verification).

  • Verify anchoring, clearances, and clashes prior to installation, escalate to engineering persons and collaborate to resolve

  • Plan daily work activities, crew assignments, and material needs

  • Install Unistrut, trapeze supports, anchors, and hardware

  • Confirm tolerances, placement accuracy, anchor bolt patterns, centerlines, and equipment alignment.

  • Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements

  • Track labor hours, production, and progress against schedule

  • Identify scope changes, field conflicts, and additional work and report to management

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site

Work Schedule & Travel Requirements

  • Must be able to work 8 – 10 hour shifts, 4 - 5 days per week

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive company vehicles as required

  • Must be willing and able to travel and stay overnight when job sites are more than 50 miles from home

  • Typical travel may include leaving Monday and returning Thursday or Friday, depending on project needs

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience installing Unistrut, trapeze systems, or similar metal framing

  • Prior experience leading crews or acting as a foreman or lead installer

  • Strong understanding of construction drawings and field coordination

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work as required

  • Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and on lifts

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Preferred (Not Required)

  • OSHA 30 certification

  • Forklift, scissor lift, or boom lift certification

  • Experience working in healthcare, data center, or industrial environments

  • Basic reporting or time tracking experience

Physical & Work Environment

Work is performed indoors and outdoors on active construction sites. The role involves exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions. Standing, bending, lifting, and overhead work are required.
