The Engineer Leader 2 (EL2) leads and manages projects/programs while building client trust and validating a world class solution. The EL2 leads engineering best practices across most disciplines and has applied experience with coaching and mentoring concepts and methods.
This position requires expertise in Allen-Bradley PLC and/or Ignition SCADA. Data Center experience is required.
Responsibilities
  • Applied knowledge and experience in developing and maintaining strong trusting relationships.
  • Leading complex technical discussions, projects, and/or programs.
  • Validating world class technical solutions on projects.
  • Ensuring engineering best practices are followed across multiple engineering and solution disciplines.
  • Managing all technical risk on a project.
  • Leading and managing engineering teams on a project
  • Leading multiple engineering disciplines to develop new and upcoming engineers and technical experts.
  • Preparing and presenting client-specific solutions.
  • Leading the development and maintenance of project artifacts that are required to ensure success for a project.
  • Identifying, recommending, and implementing work process improvements.
  • Reviewing all technical project details before implementation.
  • Leading and managing the integration of data from multiple company systems and analyzing the data to draw insights on project technical solution.
  • Ensuring all safety regulations are adhered to and issues identified and resolved.
  • Maintaining a positive, assertive relationship with all project personnel to achieve project milestones and overall project success.

Qualifications
Education, Experience & Training
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or Physics preferably from an ABET accredited program with 10+ years of experience in any Engineering discipline with Construction experience OR
  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or Physics preferably from an ABET accredited program with 7+ years of experience in any Engineering discipline with Construction experience

The Engineering Leader 2 preferred education and training is:
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) certification
  • Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) certification
  • Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) training
  • National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) training The Engineering Leader 2 required skills are:
  • Applied experience in developing and providing solutions to complex technical challenges.
  • Applied knowledge multiple technologies and various application methods.
  • Applied experience with collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Applied proficiency in leading technical discussions to a successful conclusion.
  • Applied proficiency to lead the application of principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment for multiple specific branches of engineering to the design and production of various goods and services.
  • Applied knowledge and experience with cost estimation.
  • Applied knowledge of finance systems and advanced principles of finance management.
  • Applied proficiency in the design, build, and development of a new products, technologies, or services
  • Applied proficiency on calculating and presenting the costs of a project when budgeting.
  • Applied proficiency in effectively using and teaching presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding of project details

The Engineering Leader 2 preferred skills are:
  • Applied knowledge of applying engineering science and technology to the construction industry.
  • Applied experience in reviewing and correcting construction drawings and construction project standards.
