This position may be based at a DSV operation or at a virtual location in the West Region of the US.  

We need a collaborative and strategic contract logistics leader to oversee performance, growth, and development of a prominent high tech account.  You ideally will have leadership experience in operations and commercial roles.  You will be an expert on all elements of CRM. Proven track record of growing business and positive financial performance over time.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic

Spearheads the conceptualization and negotiation of new Global Commercial Framework
Develops innovative strategies to improve profitability and reduce commercial risk
Owns of rate card roadmap incl. commercial strategy and negotiation of renewals and re-pricings
Responsible for commercialization of Global Strategic Programs such as DC Optimization (MOST), DC Data Foundation,  DC Automation and others
Accountable for the development, preparation and negotiation of CL pricing, tenders and RFP responses in co-operation with regional business management leads, P&L owners, SD and GAD
Driver of innovation for all commercial aspects, business reporting, proposals, etc.
Key contributor to Strategic Account Plan and execution of account strategy
Directs the regional business management leads and serves as escalation point
Serves as lead negotiator for contractual negotiations in compliance with contractual framework

Customer relationships

Primary customer interface to Customer's WW Head of DC Procurement
Primary interface to Customer's Procurement in AMR region & secondary in APAC and EMEIA regions)

Team & DSV

Leads the Business Management team within the Customer GCM account (2-3 FTE)
Secures alignment and agreement with CL P&L owners for all CL proposals
Partners with the GCM Head, GAD, Account Exec and Account Sponsor to ensure alignment with wider company customer strategy

Retaining and improving revenue and profitability in collaboration with Country P/L owners, GCM Head and GAD

SKILLS & ABILITIES  

Education & Experience:   

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Logistics or equivalent fields is required 

  • A minimum of 10 years logistics operations management experience AND/OR commerical/business development experience with "big box", e-commerce or specialty retailers or 3PL company

 Computer Skills:   

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications is needed. 

  • Working knowledge of industry WMS 

Certificates & Licenses:  None 

Language Skills 

  • English (reading, writing, and verbal) 

 

Mathematical Skills 

  • Intermediate mathematical, accounting, and financial skills 

Other Skills 

  • Excellent verbal, written and visual/presentation communication skills. 

  • Must be adept at navigating within a matrixed organizational structure.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $145,000 - $160,000 USD annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.
