POSTITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing, the Digital Marketing Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution of Girls on the Run International's digital marketing efforts across social media, email marketing, website content and digital campaigns. This position plays an essential role in maintaining the organization's digital presence by publishing content, coordinating digital assets, tracking performance metrics, and supporting cross-functional marketing initiatives.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is passionate about using digital communications to advance Girls on the Run's mission. This role is ideal for an early-career marketing professional looking to grow expertise across multiple digital marketing disciplines.
Responsibilities

Digital Marketing Coordination
  • Support the execution of digital marketing campaigns across email, website, social media and paid digital channels.
  • Coordinate digital marketing activities to ensure projects remain on schedule.
  • Assist with campaign setup, asset management, quality assurance and launch support.
  • Support ad trafficking, UTM tracking and campaign reporting.
  • Coordinate digital marketing project tasks, priorities and timelines to help keep initiatives on track.

Social Media
  • Publish and schedule content across Girls on the Run social media channels.
  • Monitor social channels and assist with community engagement by responding to comments and messages or escalating as appropriate.
  • Source and organize photo and video content from councils and internal teams.
  • Assist with identifying participant, coach and volunteer stories for future storytelling opportunities.
  • Ensure all social content follows brand standards and approved messaging.

Website & Content
  • Publish blog posts and website content in WordPress.
  • Resize and optimize images for web use.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on webpages, links, formatting and accessibility.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors on website updates and issue resolution as needed.
  • Complete basic SEO tasks including keyword checks and Yoast optimization.
  • Assist with landing page updates, image uploads and content maintenance.
  • Support council website content updates and digital resource management.

Email Marketing
  • Assist with scheduling and distributing email campaigns.
  • Support audience segmentation, testing and quality assurance for email communications.
  • Help maintain email lists.

Reporting & Analytics
  • Pull monthly performance metrics across social media, website, email and digital campaigns.
  • Maintain dashboards and reporting templates.
  • Summarize campaign performance and identify key insights to support optimization and decision-making.
  • Help ensure accurate campaign tracking through UTM links and analytics tools.

Council Support
  • Provide day-to-day support for council digital marketing questions.
  • Assist councils with website content updates and image uploads.
  • Help maintain digital marketing resources, templates and training materials for councils.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in digital marketing, communications or social media.
  • Experience using social media management platforms and content publishing tools.
  • Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems.
  • Understanding of SEO, Google Analytics and digital marketing best practices.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (Engaging Networks, Mailchimp, HubSpot or similar) preferred.
  • Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and Google Business Profile.
  • Knowledge of Google Tag Manager, UTM tracking and paid social reporting is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
