About our property:
The Gilchrist Club is a 27,000 acre private member only hunting preserve in Trenton, Florida. The club offers world class lodging, dining, hunting, and fishing. The club also features a conference center with complete audio and visual capabilities. Located in North Central Florida only 30 minutes from Gainesville
What you will have an opportunity to do:
We are looking for someone who loves to work outdoors, who is highly motivated, and detail oriented to join our team as a Landscaper! In this role, you will play a key part in creating a world-class experience for our members! You will perform routine labor involved in maintenance and landscaping, and related work. You will be working closely with different members of our team, so you will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude.
The Landscaper/Ground Maintenance Worker is responsible for ensuring that standards of cleanliness on the grounds are achieved and maintained on a consistent basis to provide the highest level of member satisfaction within established time limitations. To perform all duties related to land, equipment, vehicles and boat maintenance inclusive of but not limited to; safety, member relations and care and upkeep of all responsible areas. We are looking for hard-working, self-motivated team members. Candidates should be service-minded, energetic and have the ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently. Responsibilities include general maintenance and landscaping on property and all other associated tasks.
Your role:
  • Perform all landscaping work on property, including but not limited to mowing, trimming, pruning, and raking.
  • Maintain Club vehicles, equipment and boats. Perform service and repairs that require skilled knowledge of specific components of a vehicle, but do not require all around knowledge of automotive repair.
  • Maintain and perform routine maintenance on buildings, including, but not limited to, roof cleaning and gutter maintenance.
  • Maintain grounds and upkeep on roads, ensuring cleanliness and attention to detail in all seasons.
  • Performs routine maintenance and/or renovations in all areas of property.
  • Supports irrigation maintenance duties such as irrigation head trimming, valve trimming, PVC pipe repairs, head leveling, and minor electrical tasks.
  • Participate as support staff on any special projects.
  • Support other departments as needed and as opportunities arise.
  • Assist in all housekeeping duties of the Maintenance facility.

What are we looking for?
  • Must have a general understanding/knowledge of gun use and safety.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Experience in landscaping or horticulture is required.
  • Ability to operate hand or power tools and equipment, as well as the ability to use ladders and lift heavy objects.
  • Availability to work during weekends and holidays may be necessary.
  • Experience in vehicle and boat maintenance is preferred.
  • Willing to train
