Position Overview

The Sagamore Resort is seeking a motivated and guest-focused Gift Shop Manager to lead the daily operation of our resort retail shop. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for retail, merchandising, guest service, and product buying to take ownership of a unique shop within a high-end resort setting.

The Gift Shop Manager will oversee store operations, inventory accuracy, product selection, visual presentation, and team leadership while ensuring every guest receives warm, professional service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating an inviting shopping experience, staying ahead of seasonal trends, and helping drive the continued success of the resort’s retail operation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operation of the Gift Shop, ensuring the store is clean, organized, properly stocked, visually appealing, and aligned with the service standards of a high-end resort.
  • Train, schedule, supervise, and support Gift Shop associates while ensuring consistent guest service, professionalism, and daily store standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts, complete receiving properly, input purchase orders in a timely manner, and ensure inventory records remain accurate.
  • Lead product buying, reorders, vendor communication, and seasonal product planning based on sales trends, guest demand, resort events, and seasonality.
  • Lead merchandising and store presentation, including seasonal displays, resort-branded merchandise, premium product placement, and regular store refreshes.
  • Monitor sales activity, product movement, and guest feedback to identify opportunities to improve product mix, presentation, and overall retail performance.
  • Provide warm, professional, resort-level service to guests, members, conference attendees, wedding guests, condo owners, and local visitors while resolving concerns appropriately.

Hourly Rate: $25.00
