Job description

As a Roving Maintenance Technician, you will play an increasingly important role at GHP. It is you who will create a quality living environment for our residents by maintaining our properties in the best possible conditions.

REPORTS TO: Roving Maintenance Manager

 HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

Customer Service:

  • Create a sense of community and an outstanding living experience for residents

Maintenance:

  • Demonstrates care through the completion of daily repair and upkeep of the community
  • Responsible for the preparation of vacant units for occupancy
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of GHP policies and community policies, including OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies
  • Completes tasks related to basic plumbing
  • When staffing situation requires, completes unit painting projects to meet market ready requirements
  • Completes minimal appliance repairs
  • Completes simple electrical
  • Completes simple carpentry work
  • Other duties as assigned

YOU HAVE:

  • Desire to deliver an exceptional resident and colleague experience in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • 1-2 years in property management or hospitality as a technician or similar experience
  • HVAC certified a plus
  • Clean DMV
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Ability to multitask and have good organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail, practical mindset, as well as an outgoing and friendly personality.
  • May require driving golf cart.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regular and physical attendance is required
  • Must be able to travel to GHP Communities located in DTLA, Canyon Country, Pacific Palisades, Woodland Hills, and Inland Empire. 
  • Frequently move/traverse, ascend/descend stairs in/around apartment homes and community
  • Constantly positions self to bend, stoop, reach, lift
  • Frequently lift/move/carry 25lbs
  • Occasionally lift/move/carry up to 50lbs with/without assistance
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
  • Must have the ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble/manipulate objects
  • Ability to work around chemical cleaning solutions.

Cognitive Or Mental Requirements:

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Ability to communicate clearly;
  • Ability to deal with complex issues; and
  • Attention to detail.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States; and
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.

Salary Range:  $23-$25.00 per hour, DOE.
