Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin. BETTER TOGETHER
1.0 FTE/40 hours per week
Location: Sauk Trails Pharmacy

Join a stable, local healthcare cooperative that has been serving the community for over 50 years!
The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in the provision of professional pharmacy services in GHC-SCW pharmacies. The Pharmacy Technician works under the general guidance and daily supervision of the Pharmacist and the Pharmacist - in - Charge.
Why Join Our Pharmacy Team?
• No late-night shifts - pharmacies close, at the latest 6:00 PM on weekdays and 5:00 PM on weekends.
• Minimal weekend and holiday rotations - typically one weekend every 4-6 months and one holiday every 2-3 years.
• No drive-thru pharmacy
• Work alongside experienced pharmacists, many with 10+ years of tenure at GHC.
• Reimbursement for Pharmacy Technician certification training, exam fees, license renewal fees, and continuing education.
• Free parking at all clinic locations
JOB SPECIFIC MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  1. High School diploma or equivalent required. Graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program is desirable.
  2. Pharmacy experience is preferred.
  3. Knowledge of or ability to learn email, calendar, word processing and database software programs. Previous experience with computers preferred.
  4. Ability to use or learn to use computers for order entry, inventory control, billing and record keeping.
  5. Knowledge of basic math and algebra. Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations.
  6. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with patients and clinical staff is required.
  7. Ability to work with a diverse patient population. Excellent customer service skills.
  8. Ability to pay close attention to detail and problem solve.
  9. Ability to successfully interact with other pharmacy staff is required.
  10. Ability to maintain confidentiality is required. Knowledge of or ability to learn HIPAA requirements.
  11. Ability to provide own transportation to various locations, as required.
  12. Ability to stand for long periods of time is required.
  13. Ability to reach, bend, lift, pull, push and /or carry up to 25 pounds regularly is required.
  14. Ability to see near, mid and far range is required.
  15. Good hand dexterity in order to handle small items such as medication packets is required.
  16. Ability to use keyboard is required.
  17. Ability to write legibly is required.
