Position Overview

The Get Well Counseling Center, based in Arlington, Texas, is searching for a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist. This remote position seeks a dedicated and empathetic therapist to provide specialized mental health care to individuals who have experienced trauma. With a focus on transforming lives, you will play a crucial role in fostering resilience and promoting healing in our clients.

Our outpatient mental health practice focuses on evidence-based interventions and innovative treatment modalities. We specialize in addressing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, empowering our clients on their paths to recovery. Our collaborative approach includes multidisciplinary teams working together to deliver integrated care that responds to the unique needs of each patient.

Work Environment

This role is uniquely structured as a telehealth position, allowing you the flexibility to provide care from the comfort of your own home. Our therapists work closely with dedicated support staff and are encouraged to engage in ongoing curriculum development to ensure the highest quality of care. The work schedule typically runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories, enabling the development of personalized treatment plans.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment strategies that are centered on trauma recovery and resilience-building, ensuring each client's unique emotional and psychological needs are addressed.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to effectively treat clients.
  • Lead individual and group therapy sessions aimed at processing trauma, developing essential coping strategies, and promoting healing.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create a holistic treatment plan that covers both mental and physical health for our patients.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
  • Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and the various resources available for additional support.
  • Maintain precise and confidential documentation consistent with legal and ethical standards to support client care.
  • Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and partake in professional development activities that emphasize trauma-informed care.
  • Stay informed on the latest research and trends in trauma therapy to continually improve your practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily focuses on trauma survivors dealing with the aftermath of complex trauma, PTSD, and other dissociative disorders. As a therapist at Get Well Counseling Center, you will work closely with diverse individuals who seek compassionate support and effective treatment to navigate their healing journeys. Your expertise will be key in helping them cope with trauma and restore their mental health.

Qualifications
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience providing mental health therapy, especially in trauma-informed care.
  • Strong familiarity with trauma-related disorders and an array of trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
  • Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a non-judgmental and compassionate therapeutic approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.
  • Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits
