Job description

Position Overview

Get Well Counseling Center LTD is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our growing team in Gresham, Oregon. This full-time remote position offers licensed professionals the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering specialized mental health care to individuals affected by trauma, specifically focusing on those struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders.

About the Organization

At Get Well Counseling Center, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for our clients. As a community health clinic, our mission is to offer quality mental health services that empower trauma survivors to find healing and resilience. Our team is composed of experienced professionals who share a passion for facilitating recovery and enhancing the overall well-being of our patients. We pride ourselves on utilizing evidence-based practices and fostering a trauma-informed approach in every aspect of our care.

Work Environment

This role requires professionals to work remotely, allowing flexibility in managing your schedule while ensuring availability for patient consultations and therapy sessions. Our clinic operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential adjustments based on patient needs. A competitive yearly salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 104,000 is offered, along with a sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate patients' trauma history and prepare tailored treatment approaches.
  • Develop and execute individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building techniques.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to guide treatment.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to aid patients in processing trauma, developing essential coping strategies, and promoting overall healing.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, holistic care for each patient.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating an ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and resources available for ongoing support.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation in compliance with relevant legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and training that emphasize trauma-informed care principles.
  • Commit to staying informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, integrating new knowledge into therapeutic approaches.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with adults and adolescents who are experiencing the effects of various trauma-related conditions. Our clients often present with diverse backgrounds and unique experiences, so a cultural competence and adaptability in your therapeutic approach is essential. By utilizing trauma-informed practices, you will help clients navigate their healing journey, which may include addressing issues related to PTSD, complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders.

Qualifications
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid and current licensure as either an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon.
  • Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience preferred, with specific emphasis on trauma-related cases.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client care.
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations while providing effective support.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications essential for practice management.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience

While two years of relevant experience is required, experience in a community health setting specializing in trauma recovery, familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, and prior participation in continuing education opportunities will be viewed favorably. Experience with population-specific needs, including cultural considerations and accessibility for diverse clientele, is also a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

In addition to the competitive salary of USD 80,000 to 104,000 per year, Get Well Counseling Center offers a comprehensive healthcare benefits package, a retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions, and generous paid time off along with holiday pay.
