Geotech Engineering and Testing is currently in search of a secretary. The secretary position is an hourly position with benefits after a 90-day probation period. We offer yearly evaluations, paid vacations, holidays, and sick time along with insurance coverage. The ideal candidate will have a high energy, organized, excellent communication skills, strong writing skills, and enjoy an environment where you will be both challenged and rewarded. Candidates must be able to adapt to a variety of personality types.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, collating, faxing etc.
  • Process all the invoices and email the Clients with updated account.
  • Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information.
  • Works in cooperation with other assistants to cover phones.
  • Type and designs general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans. Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar, and layout, making appropriate changes.
  • Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Performs administrative duties for Project Managers and Engineers.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma with some college. College degree preferred but not required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to type 45 WPM.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be able to answer multi-phone lines.
  • Industry knowledge is a definite plus, but not required.
