Responsibilities for Director of Maintenance:
  • Oversee all maintenance operations to ensure the facility is safe, functional, and well-maintained at all times.
  • Manage preventative maintenance programs, equipment repairs, and facility systems to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, safety regulations, and facility standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely and high-quality completion of work.
  • Maintain and monitor critical facility systems, including boilers, compressors, generators, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and ensure safety standards are consistently met.
  • Interpret and utilize blueprints, technical manuals, and system documentation to support maintenance and repair activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance documentation.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies to ensure resident safety and continuity of care.

Qualifications for Director of Maintenance:
  • Must have a minimum of four (4) years of experience in a maintenance role.
  • Nursing home or healthcare facility experience required.
  • HVAC certification strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and other mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
