About The Role
We are looking for a Staff Salesforce Engineer for the Product & Technology (P&T) team at The RealReal. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role for an expert who enjoys deep technical work and solid architecture. You won't just be keeping the lights on here. We want someone who will push our engineering standards forward, solve the hard problems, and lead our charge into AI-driven automation.You'll be the main technical point person for our marketing tools (specifically Zoom, Sumo, and LeanData) and will play a critical role in our Q2 AI initiatives. We care about results and need someone who can move the needle on critical projects while making sure the platform stays reliable as we grow.
What You Get To Do Every Day
  • Hands-on Development: Lead the configuration and development for Salesforce and our integrated tools to support complex logic. This includes staying hands-on with the codebase, developing applications using Apex Classes, Triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), VisualForce Pages, and Aura Components.
  • AI & Automation: Serve as a key driver for our AI roadmap, specifically focusing on implementing Agentforce, Voice Recognition, and Outreach Automation. You'll help us leverage AI to streamline the "Consignor + Store Buyer" relationship management lifecycle.
  • Architecture: Develop technical diagrams, integration standards, and better ways to manage our environments. You'll ensure every solution is built for scale, performance, and reliability from day one.
  • Code Quality: Own your code from start to finish. This means building for performance and scale, including bulk-safe patterns and robust automated tests.
  • Solution Design: Lead design discussions to make sure what we build fits with our global governance and enterprise standards. You will provide ongoing technical support for existing custom Apex code and configurations.
  • Mentoring: Advise other engineers on the team through code reviews and sharing best practices around readability, scalability, and test coverage.
  • Collaboration: Work with business stakeholders to give technical guidance on security and performance, turning their requirements into actual solutions.

What You Bring To The Role
Minimum Requirements:
  • 5 or more years in a mid-to-large company with a clear history of shipping complex technical projects in a matrixed environment.
  • Deep technical proficiency in Apex Classes, Triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), VisualForce Pages, and Aura Components.
  • Proven experience or deep knowledge in Agentforce and AI-driven automations.
  • Experience with integration tech, SSO, Master Data Management, and Agile methodologies.
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or a similar field.
  • Multiple Salesforce certifications are required, specifically Platform Developer II (PDII) and at least one Architect-track certification (e.g., Application Architect or System Architect).

Preferred Requirements:
  • Project Management certifications
  • Experience with LeanData, Xactly, Genesys PureCloud, Jira, Zoom, and Sumo integrations.
  • Knowledge of managing multiple Salesforce orgs and/or multiple teams that use Salesforce to solve a variety of requirements. Experienced working with complex Salesforce orgs with hundreds or thousands of users.

The expected salary range for this role is $190,000.00-$210,000.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate's skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR's total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
