Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is looking for a General Volunteer to work under general supervision, perform duties providing which may include providing health education, patient engagement, clerical support, event support, or other assigned duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs volunteer duties as assigned, within scope of the assignment, under direct supervision.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Interest in volunteering
  • Licensure may be required for specific volunteer assignments
  • Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse social, cultural and economic groups.
  • Ability to work well in both a team-based environment and independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to be culturally sensitive and respect diversity.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain good working relationships with employees, coworkers, and departments.
  • Intermediate interpersonal and customer service skills.
