Title: Department Manager

A Department Manager directly supports the General Manager to achieve restaurant performance and quality standards in one or more of the following areas: People, Kitchen or Guest Service. The Department Manager is also responsible for making sure the restaurant meets our standards for excellence in the areas of Safety, Quality, Friendly and Fast.
The Department Manager is responsible for the day-to-day restaurant performance within their department by leading important internal functions including Employee Training, Food Safety, and Guest Satisfaction. In this role, you empower your teams to produce results with an emphasis on a "we care" culture. This means helping the team follow our culture, set goals, following up on their progress, as well as providing coaching and direction to improve their results and achieve their goals.
As Department Manager, you must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while handling all manner of issues that develop. The Department Manager not only looks for ways to make today better, but also looks ahead to improve tomorrow and the days after.

This position is vital to the operation of the restaurant as you will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Take action first: Lead important internal functions including Employee Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management
  • Be results oriented: Effectively delegate tasks to team members and report back results
  • Lead the experience: Directly support the General Manager to achieve restaurant performance and quality standards in three areas:

Kitchen- supervise food quality, safety, cost, and new menu items
People- hire, train, and schedule restaurant staff to meet sales and profit goals
Service- deliver a memorable guest experience by ensuring all staff is trained and organizing key service areas within the restaurant to provide the best service
  • Understand that teamwork is key: Partner with restaurant team to ensure safe and efficient operations of the restaurant
