  • We believe helping customers should be enjoyable and rewarding. Get ready to greet every guest with a smile, offer friendly support, and turn everyday moments into memorable experiences. Whether you’re assisting with a purchase or answering questions, you’re not just providing service—you’re making someone’s day brighter!

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Expectations

  • At Goodwill, we believe that everyone is welcome, respected, and encouraged to shine. When people from all walks of life bring their unique talents, stories, and perspectives together, we create a vibrant, inclusive community where equity and excellence truly come alive. Join us and be part of the fun as we learn, grow, and succeed—together!

Safety Expectations

  • At Goodwill, safety is a team adventure! We work together to create a space where everyone can thrive, give back, and grow—all while feeling secure and protected. By following safety rules and keeping an eye out for ways to make our environment even better, we help each other shine. Let’s make safety a shared mission and keep our workplace a place where great experiences happen every day!

POSITION EXPECTATIONS

  • Step into the exciting role of Production Manager in Training, where every day is a new adventure in learning and leadership! You’ll team up with the Store Manager to master everything it takes to run a dynamic store, from tracking production goals to making sure every product shines with top quality and quantity checks. Get ready to guide and inspire the retail production crew, step in as the key holder, and even take the lead when the Store Manager is away. This is your chance to grow, make a difference, and have fun while doing it!

Responsibilities

  • Crush your daily, weekly, and monthly goals with the support of your team and senior leadership. If donations run low, step up and connect to make things happen!
  • Give every rack and cart the VIP treatment with quality and quantity checks, making every product ready for its next adventure.
  • Become the salvage superstar—conduct daily audits to guarantee only the best donations find their place on the shelves, while keeping top-notch items out of salvage.
  • Team up with store management and the Central Warehouse to ensure your store always hits its production and sales targets—collaboration makes the magic!
  • Dive into the world of E-Commerce by sorting trendy categories and brands, and share your skills with others to help them shine.
  • Master digital communications: keep the team and management updated with clear, friendly emails and reports.
  • Coach and mentor new and seasoned staff to follow Production Manual Guidelines, picture process maps, metrics, and pricing rules. Celebrate their wins and cheer them on to success!
  • Deliver top-notch customer service with a smile, ensuring everyone—customers, donors, and teammates—feels welcome and valued.
  • Keep the store sparkling clean and safe, making sure everyone is up to speed on safety procedures so our team can work and shop happily.
  • Step up as Store Manager when needed—help guide the team and keep the good vibes going!
  • Safeguard found money and donated jewelry with care, handling paperwork like a pro and keeping things organized.
  • Tackle other exciting projects or assignments from store management—there’s always something new to learn and do!

Environmental Factors

  • Get ready to work in a variety of Goodwill locations—from bustling retail stores to lively warehouses—where each day brings something new! Embrace the adventure of changing temperatures and the excitement of different environments, whether it's a warm sunny day, a cool breeze, or the occasional dust and animal hair. No two shifts are ever the same, and you'll be part of a team that's always up for the challenge!

 Physical Factors

  • Show off your strength—lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 pounds and help keep our store running smoothly.
  • Stay active and energized with lots of moving—standing, walking, reaching, lifting, bending, and more as you tackle each day!

Education, Experience, and Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is a plus—bring your knowledge and eagerness to learn!
  • Have at least 3 years of retail production supervisory experience? Fantastic—we love seeing experienced leaders join the team!
  • Bonus points for at least 3 years of goal setting and tracking experience—let’s reach new heights together!
  • If you’ve spent 3+ years handling salvage or similar audits, you’ve got a head start!
  • Be ready for adventure—sometimes you’ll travel or help out at different Goodwill stores to keep the mission rolling.
  • Enjoy a fast-paced environment where you can shine through repetitive tasks—consistency is key!
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel) help us stay organized and efficient.
  • Bring your people skills and stellar communication—teamwork makes every day brighter!
  • Bilingual skills? That’s a plus—help us connect with even more community members!
  • Show your integrity and business ethics—you’re a role model for the team.
  • Be flexible and adaptable, ready to tackle whatever comes your way with a positive attitude!
