Position Summary

The General Laborer in our Casting Department is at the heart of Concast’s production process. You’ll prepare molds, fill them with concrete, ensure products meet quality standards, and work alongside a skilled team to keep production running smoothly. This is a hands-on manufacturing role that requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety.


Mold Preparation & Casting

  • Clean, assemble, and prepare steel molds for casting.
  • Apply release agents and set up molds for production.
  • Fill molds with concrete and use vibrators and other tools to ensure proper consolidation.
  • Assist in finishing and curing processes as directed.

Quality & Safety

  • Inspect molds and finished products for quality and accuracy.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized in line with Concast’s housekeeping standards.

Teamwork & Support

  • Work collaboratively to meet daily production goals.
  • Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement activities.
  • Support other production tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to learn new techniques.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, physical environment.
  • Prior experience in concrete, construction, or manufacturing is a plus but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and lift 25–50 lbs (occasional team lift of up to 100 lbs).
