Job description

Position Summary:

?????? This position provides liaison support, under the direction of the MCHS Medical Staff Office Manager of Clinical Informatics and Education, for Texas Tech faculty that includes resident physicians, physician assistant students, and medical students and resident activities within MCHS.

Education:

Associate's degree in healthcare management or health care related field required, Bachelor's degree preferred.

Training and Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years' related experience in administrative duties within a healthcare setting. Experience in physician onboarding and clerical support preferred.
  • Administrative professional certification is a plus.
  • Must demonstrate intermediate or greater skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook) and general knowledge of using office machines with filing and organization skills.

Job Knowledge:

Knowledge of proper office procedures, rules of grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Ability to type, familiarity with medical terminology and hospital policies and procedures. Ability to answer correspondence and to communicate well with the resident physicians, physician assistant students, and medical students. Demonstrates strong organizational skills. Ability to make logical and rational decisions. An understanding of emergency protocols and safety guidelines.
