This role is ideal for specialists looking for flexibility, additional income, or non-traditional clinical hours while focusing primarily on same-day emergency endodontic care.

A major advantage of this opportunity is that contractors are paid at the time of service, allowing for immediate compensation rather than traditional delayed insurance reimbursement cycles.

Position Highlights

  • Independent Contractor (1099) status

  • Flexible scheduling – choose your availability

  • Paid at time of service for immediate compensation

  • Opportunity to focus entirely on emergency endodontics and acute pain management

  • Fully equipped operatories with modern rotary systems and clinical support staff

  • High demand for specialized emergency dental services in the region

  • Excellent earning potential

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute dental emergencies and severe pulpal pain.

  • Diagnose and treat conditions such as acute apical periodontitis, irreversible pulpitis, dental trauma, and deep abscesses.

  • Perform urgent specialized procedures including emergency root canal treatments, pulpotomies, pulpectomies, and immediate pain management.

  • Provide clear treatment recommendations and coordinate follow-up permanent restorations with host offices when necessary.

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.

  • Work collaboratively with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient care and smooth scheduling blocks.

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school; Certificate in Endodontics preferred, but general practitioners with documented high-volume endodontic competency will be considered.

  • Active New York dental license.

  • Proven ability to diagnose and treat urgent pulpal and periapical conditions efficiently.

  • Experience with complex molar endodontics and emergency trauma procedures is preferred.

  • Strong clinical judgment and exceptional patient communication skills for managing patients in acute pain.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

  • Flexible scheduling available – design your own work week.

  • Day, evening, and weekend opportunities.

  • Choose shifts that perfectly fit your current availability.

Compensation

  • Independent contractor compensation model.

  • Paid at time of service (no waiting on insurance cycles).

  • High earning potential based directly on patient volume and specialized procedures performed.
