Job description

Summary:
Location: McPherson
Work Mode: Onsite
Typical working hours are 6:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday. Overtime hours may be available or required according to business needs
Responsibilities:
Assemble components according to blueprints, routers, work orders, checklists, and specifications to build, assemble, and test parts and finished goods that meet quality standards in an accurate and timely fashion.
Accurately complete assembly checklists.
Monitor stock bins in work area and report stock needs to Shop Floor Lead(s).
Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and procedures.
Adhere to the company Code of Conduct.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to stand and/or walk for 10 hours a day, with minimal breaks.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds independently or up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Vision abilities include close and distance vision, color distinction, and observing small handwriting, labels, and components.
Always required to wear steel-toed shoes and safety glasses.
Required to wear hearing protection in designated areas.
Preferred Skills:
Ability to work effectively unsupervised.
Strategic and creative thinking to analyze issues that may arise and create solutions.
Ability to respond positively to feedback and implement changes in process and procedures as needed.
Basic math skills.
Ability to understand and interpret drawings, BOMs, and procedures.
Work Environment:
The employee will normally work on the production shop floor that does not have controlled temperatures and will vary based on weather conditions. Occasionally exposed to fumes and minimal to moderate noise.
