Job Description
Role Summary/Purpose:
GE Lighting, a Savant company, has an exciting opportunity for a National Account Manager to be at the forefront of our efforts to lead the lighting revolution with Walmart. The NAM will take ownership for GE Lighting for both in-store and online business. The NAM will be tasked with developing and implementing a long-term growth and profitability strategy while consistently delivering short and medium-term results. The ideal candidate should have Walmart Corporate experience, living in the local market, be a self-starter with a passion for retail and e-commerce, a high-level of flexibility and commitment, proven analytical capabilities and project management skills.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Create, sell and execute account growth and profitability strategy at Walmart
  • Develop enviable working relationships with Walmart Merchandising teams
  • Proactively prepares annual line reviews and quarterly top to top meeting agendas and content.
  • Proactively works collaboratively with merchant team on Walmart's annual planning. Understands Walmart's annual metrics and strategies, working with GE's cross functional team to build annual business plans that deliver on both Walmart and GE's objectives.
  • Gains an in depth understanding of customer needs through interactions with Walmart corporate buying team - while working across the GE cross functional teams to meet Walmart's needs across the 4P's.
  • Develops Walmart's promotional planning into execution of national marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate with internal resources such as Marketing, Product Management and Supply Chain to help accomplish customer goals & initiatives.
  • Lead / facilitate dialog between Walmart and GE marketing teams to execute national marketing initiatives.
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining promotions/master SKU data using internal trackers/tools.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure the GE Lighting plan-o-gram (POG) is optimized for local markets, technology shifts and industry changes and profit. Establishes key partnership with Walmart Category Management resources.
  • Precisely forecast revenue on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Gain comprehensive understanding of product line, competitive set and overall industry dynamics to effect positive change for Walmart and GE Lighting.
  • Responsible for growing walmart.com business by working closely with GE Lighting eCommerce Director & agency.
  • Leads internal monthly financial pulse forecasting meeting for Walmart.
  • Resolves customer claims and disputes.
  • Manages and attends all customer required meetings.
  • NOTE - this position has the flexibility to be based from home in local headquarter market.

Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • BA / BS in Marketing, Management, Finance or Business Administration from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a highly visible, selling role, with a consumer packaged goods (CPG) company (Including ability to identify, understand and communicate customer needs, market trends & buying strategies to GE Lighting leadership; ability to cut through status quo and build rapid responses to extremely dynamic situations and win)
  • Experience with all levels of the selling cycle at Walmart. Must have Walmart Corporate experience.
  • Experience using syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, Circana, Retail Link)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Compensation:
  • The annual total compensation pay range for this position is $135,000 - $175,000 which consists of base salary and target sales incentives subject to performance.
  • Pay at Savant is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
  • This is a direct-hire position with full benefits including: medical insurance; dental insurance; vision plan; life insurance; pet insurance; FSA / HSA; 12 paid holidays; permissive time off policy; 401k plan with employer match; reimbursement for preapproved reasonable and necessary business expenses.
