Job: Bridge Inspection Engineer / Team Leader

Location: St. Louis Metro Area or O'Fallon, IL or Remote

Were looking for a Bridge Inspection Engineer / Team Leader to join our Transportation Group. This role is ideal for someone eager to lead and learn in a collaborative environment while gaining experience in bridge inspection and design from a highly specialized team.

What Youll Do

As a Bridge Inspection Engineer / Team Leader, youll:

Serve as inspection team leader or team member on routine bridge and ancillary structure inspections (including sign and lighting structures), primarily in Illinois.

Occasionally assist with inspections across the Midwest and Texas.

Develop detailed inspection reports and documentation.

Apply structural engineering principles to bridge inspection and design projects.

Perform load rating calculations and support design efforts.

Collaborate with team members to ensure quality and timely project delivery.

What You Bring

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.

EIT certification required; PE preferred; SE highly desirable.

Engineering technicians with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

2+ years of experience in bridge inspection and/or bridge design.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Positive attitude, commitment to quality, and excellent work ethic.

Ability and willingness to travel for inspections.

Completion of NHI courses for Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges and Ancillary Highway Structures (preferred but not required).

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in outdoor environments and perform field inspections.

Travel required for site visits and inspections.
