This is an in-person position based out of our corporate office in Atlanta, GA.
The Technical Designer will be responsible for leading execution of well-fitting, high-quality products from development through production, and maintaining product design integrity within calendar deadlines.

About the Role:

  • Collaborate with the Design and Product Development teams to ensure design intent is executed and the highest quality of fit, construction, and workmanship is achieved.
  • Responsible for managing multiple categories, including wovens, knits, bottoms, outerwear, and other key menswear styles - ensuring product consistency and accuracy across all styles.
  • Work closely with Design to develop initial sketches/specs for each new product throughout the line development process.
  • Create and maintain detailed tech packs, including flat sketches, measurement specifications, and construction details.
  • Develop and maintain standardized pattern blocks and size sets; provide timely feedback to vendors to meet production deadlines.
  • Create and manage accurate size charts based on brand-specific measurements, grade rules, and tolerances.
  • Maintain and update tech packs in the PLM system, focusing on sizing, fit standards, and development feedback.
  • Evaluate samples and provide detailed feedback on fit, style, and construction.
  • Conduct and manage fit sessions, including scheduling, managing fit models, and preparing garments and materials.
  • Collaborate with Design to address technical challenges and facilitate smooth transitions from design to production. Recommend alternative construction techniques and measurement methods during fit sessions to support design goals.
  • Document comprehensive fit notes, update PLM records, and approve fit and construction details proactively and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate fit comments and corrections clearly to overseas partners and manufacturing facilities.
  • Provide insights into trends and fit to ensure alignment with brand identity and market relevance.
  • Complete garment sketches and ensure tech packs are accurate for production.
  • Initiate continuous improvement projects related to technical design processes, workflows, and customer fit satisfaction.

Who we would like to meet:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or related field.

  • Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and grading.
  • Previous experience managing fit across multiple categories in menswear preferred.
