Title: Apparel Quality Control Temp Position
Department: Production
Position: Full-Time, Temp

Expected period: August 2026 to February 2027


Please note that this is a temporary position.


Position Overview:

The Quality Control Temp Position is responsible for helping ensure all finished goods meet the high-quality standards of Jenny Yoo Collection. This role assists with inspection processes, customer repairs and recuts, maintenance of in-house QC organization, and communication with sales teams and factory partners. It requires a hands-on individual with garment technical expertise, strong organizational skills, and can handle urgent issues peacefully while balancing deadlines and quality expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control & Inspection

  • Conduct bulk shipment inspections; document and photograph all findings.
  • Review and summarize factory QC reports; escalate major issues to Production and Technical Design.
  • Approve goods based on construction, fit, and overall workmanship standards.
  • Digitalize the daily quantity QC reports from our overseas team.
  • Ability to problem-solve QC issues efficiently.
  • Assist in identifying root-cause of quality issues and implement corrective action.
  • Properly document common/major QC issues.

IC Unit Tracking & Approval

  • Follow-up with the factory for full size run photos.
  • Compare units with tech pack.
  • Coordinate with the JYC internal team to collect comments.
  • Send compiled feedback to the factory.
  • Save all photos and comments in the shared folder and chart.

Returns, Repairs & Recuts

  • Assess and process daily returned dresses when needed.
  • Assist in returns and repairs communication with internal sales teams.
  • Help in maintaining and updating Return & Repair logs and Recut charts.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end recut process: Sales Order reopening, production tracking, and inventory reallocation.

Factory & Vendor Communication

  • Manage full size run review cycles; communicating feedback between JYC, factories, and overseas QC team.
  • Hold factory accountable for defects, timeline, and QC compliance
  • Assist in monitoring factory performance and support continued quality improvement initiative
  • Collaborate with factory and internal team to resolve quality issues efficiently

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • 1–2 years of production or quality control experience
  • Pattern making experience and understanding of pattern grading
  • Sewing and garment technical design experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Ability to conduct written communication with factory team members in Chinese
  • Excellent organization, multi-tasking, listening, and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under pressure
  • Detail-oriented and committed to quality
