This position will work at both the Graham and Yelm locations


The Marketing & Community Engagement Specialist is the creative engine behind Graham Auto Repair's (GAR) brand growth and community presence. In this role, you aren't just executing tasks you are a creative strategist. You will proactively develop, pitch, and execute high-impact marketing campaigns, promotional specials, and digital content. Your goal is to own the marketing pipeline, increasing engagement and improving customer outreach while staying true to GAR's purpose, vision, and core values.


Marketing & Creative Strategy

  • Ideation & Pitching: Proactively develop and present comprehensive marketing campaigns and seasonal specials to management for approval.
  • Content: Conceptualize and produce high-quality content for social media, blogs, and newsletters. You are responsible for bringing finished drafts and creative concepts to leadership for final review.
  • Branding: Lead the design and production of marketing materials (flyers, posters, digital graphics), ensuring all assets align with the GAR brand voice.
  • Digital Optimization: Manage and optimize website content (landing pages, blogs, SEO) to ensure high visibility and active lead generation.
  • Platform Management: Own day-to-day operations of all social media platforms, including scheduling, engagement, and collaboration with local partners.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Monitor performance metrics (ROI, engagement, KPIs) and host weekly/monthly meetings to report results and pitch new initiatives.
  • Trend Awareness: Stay ahead of SEO trends and digital marketing best practices to keep GAR competitive.

Community Outreach & Engagement

  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify and recommend new partnership opportunities with local organizations and businesses.
  • Lead Representation: Serve as the primary face of GAR at community events, networking opportunities, and outreach initiatives.
  • Event Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute community-focused events from start to finish, managing logistics, registration, and promotion.
  • Local Impact: Coordinate sponsorships, donations, and volunteer opportunities to enhance our local footprint.
  • Customer Retention: Execute initiatives to foster deeper connections with existing customers and attract new ones through community-driven efforts.


Position Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of demonstrated experience in marketing and communications. Must have a proven ability to brainstorm and present creative concepts independently.
  • Technical Skills: SEO experience is required. Proficiency in social media platforms and creative tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut, or similar).
  • Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Communication: Professional, courteous, and clear verbal/written skills; ability to "pitch" ideas effectively to leadership.
  • Self-Management: Highly self-motivated and able to work independently without supervision under strict deadlines.
  • Speed: Ability to create and edit high-quality content quickly.
  • Logistics: Valid driver's license is required; must be able to travel for community events.


Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery.
  • Occasionally ascends/descends stairs.
  • Frequently communicates both verbally and electronically.
  • Occasionally moves/lifts items up to 20 lbs.
  • Primarily works indoors but will be exposed to outside weather conditions during events and occasional shop noise/odors.
