Job Summary:
QDStaff is a leading talent source for award-winning video game companies, and they are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join a fast-growing game development company in Boca Raton, Florida. The role involves delivering insights from mobile casino game and audience data, utilizing mathematical, AI, and statistical expertise to drive data-driven decisions and strategies.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Lead data-driven and evidence-based research to support the delivery of game metrics, KPIs, reporting
โ€ข Creation of Dashboards that will be used to drive business decisions.
โ€ข Communicate findings to all stakeholders
โ€ข Enable smarter business processesโ€”and implement analytics for meaningful insights
โ€ข Keep current with technical and industry developments
โ€ข Translate data and insights into meaningful visualizations and stories to drive strategy, action, and decision-making with internal team leads (Game Designers, Management and Game Intelligence leads)
โ€ข Further incorporate data-driven decision-making in operations and Game Design.
โ€ข Establish KPIs and Dashboard to measure the effectiveness of business decisions
โ€ข Nice to Have: Research and devise innovative statistical models for data analysis
โ€ข Nice to Have: Advanced and predictive analytics
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Proven success and ownership of analytics work end to end, including data preparation, analysis, reporting, and decision support
โ€ข Hands-on responsibility for defining and owning KPIs, not just visualizing existing metrics
โ€ข Experience building and maintaining dashboards (Tableau or Power BI) that were actively used to drive business or product decisions
โ€ข Regular use of SQL to work with production or large datasets
โ€ข Experience delivering ongoing or recurring reporting, not only one-off or exploratory analyses
โ€ข Direct involvement in experimentation or A/B testing, including hypothesis definition, measurement, and interpretation
โ€ข Experience translating analysis into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
โ€ข Work experience in a business or product environment, not purely academic or research settings
โ€ข Ownership of analytics work end to end, including data preparation, analysis, reporting, and decision support
โ€ข Proficient with data management, visualization, and modeling tools
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s or Master's degree in statistics, applied mathematics, or related discipline

โ€ข Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis
