Keno Writer - Harrah's Laughlin
Job Summary
The Keno Writer plays a key role in casino operations by facilitating keno gameplay and delivering outstanding guest service. This position is responsible for processing wagers, assisting players, and supporting smooth game operations while ensuring compliance with all gaming regulations and Caesars Entertainment's Family Style Service standards.
Responsibilities
• Accept and process keno wagers from guests, issuing duplicate tickets and maintaining accurate records for tracking purposes
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting players with placing bets, explaining rules, and enhancing the overall gaming experience
• Collect cash for wagers, pay out winnings, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures at all times
• Operate keno equipment, announce winning numbers, and ensure all games are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Transport tickets between guests and writers in a timely and efficient manner within the casino environment
• Pay out smaller winnings directly to guests when applicable
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and gaming regulations, including Title 31 compliance
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless casino operations and guest satisfaction
Qualifications
• Strong math skills and proven ability to handle cash accurately
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment
• Familiarity with gaming regulations, including Title 31, preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Nevada Gaming License required
Physical & Mental Demands
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to work in a casino environment with exposure to noise and smoke
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English
