Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Depending on experience, the essential duties, responsibilities, points of service, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) outlined below may be taught and demonstrated during the Sportsbook Ticket Writer training process.
- Reports to the Sportsbook Supervisor and Director
- Provide excellent guest service that will encourage guest loyalty
- By providing a high level of guest service to both regulars and novice bettors, ensure everyone feels welcome at our Brook Sportsbook
- Advise and answer guest questions to assist them in making informed, responsible decisions regarding sports wagering
- Adhere to all departmental SOPs, company policies, and gaming regulations, including the rules and regulations set forth by the company and Gaming Control Board
- Learn and gain knowledge of betting options to effectively communicate them to guests
- Be able to initiate conversations with guests regarding betting options
- Work to resolve guest concerns or complaints and report them to your supervisor when applicable
- Work collaboratively with other team members and leadership
- Ensure that all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed in accordance with company policy and Gaming Control Board standards
- Perform all other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- A minimum of 1 year of cash handling experience in a work setting is preferred
Age and Gaming:- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to obtain a New Hampshire Gaming License is required
Language Skills:- Ability to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language is required
- Ability to read and understand documents and diagrams in written English form is required
- Ability to respond to inquiries, complaints, and emergencies
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred
Mathematical Skills:- General math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Reasoning Ability:- Ability to apply common-sense judgment at all times while performing assigned duties and when interacting with guests or employees
