The Impact You'll Make in this Role

  • Working in a multi-disciplinary engineering team environment to successfully meet project milestones through:
    • Control panel and hardware design
    • Pneumatic system layout
    • Design of electrical schematics/drawings
    • Layout of machine electrical distribution
    • Software design (PLC/HMI)
    • Safety control system design
    • Support creation of equipment specification
    • Compliance with applicable safety standards/codes
    • Equipment control system design, integration and commissioning

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum is looking for candidates who must have the following qualification:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics discipline (completed and verified prior to start) AND three (3) years of experience in machine control system design, build, and equipment commissioning in a private, public, government, or military environment

OR
  • Associate's Degree/Technical Diploma in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics discipline (completed and verified prior to start) and five (5) years of experience in machine control system design, build, and equipment commissioning in a private, public, government, or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Five (5) years or more of experience in machine control system design, build, integration, and commissioning in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Experience using Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens industrial control systems and software
  • Experience working with automation technologies, including servo motion and robotics
  • Experience designing, integrating, and commissioning custom, design-build, or OEM equipment
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment, such as medical device, pharmaceutical, or aerospace
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to support engineering, manufacturing, or project delivery activities

  • Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Eagan, MN)

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $106,000 - $145,750, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
