Summary:

The Gameday Operations Graduate Assistant will assist professional staff members in the coordination and execution of all home athletic contests and departmental special events.


Under the guidelines of Keuka College, the Empire 8 Conference, and the NCAA, the graduate assistant will report to the Associate Director of Athletics for Communications and Game Operations. The Graduate Assistant is a ten-month position starting August 3, 2026, and is renewable for up to a total of two years (depending on the length of the enrolled graduate program). The 2nd year appointment, if applicable, is contingent upon the successful completion of GA duties and responsibilities.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary contact for visiting teams and officials when arriving at Keuka College.
  • Schedule, train, manage, and supervise gameday student employee personnel.
  • Oversee facility setup for athletic contests.
  • Document and report any maintenance issues within the athletic facilities.
  • Assist with planning special events within athletic facilities or at athletic contests.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Athletics for Communications and Game Operations, Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics, and Associate Director
    of Athletics for Facilities and Alumni Relations.
  • Responsible for ensuring that assigned tasks are completed in compliance with various institutional and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times towards co-workers, internal and external customers, representing Keuka College, its programs, policies, and procedures in a positive and professional manner. Maintain effective working relationships to ensure institution-wide teamwork.
  • Attend provided/necessary trainings and other meetings to support effectiveness within the position as required.
  • Consistently demonstrate high standards of integrity by supporting the Keuka College mission, vision, and values and adhering to institutional policies.
  • Maintain a high regard for student privacy in accordance with the FERPA privacy policies and procedures.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.


 Compensation Package:

  • $9,000 stipend (paid across bi-weekly stipends for the duration of appointment)
  • Tuition waiver for Fall & Spring semesters while employed in this role
  • Staff parking pass


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Acceptance into a Keuka College graduate program.
  2. Working knowledge of college athletics and execution of athletic contests
  3. Must have time management flexibility and be able to sustain long work hours, including evenings, early mornings and weekends.
  4. Attention to detail and high standards for quality.
  5. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  6. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  7. Ability to provide exemplary customer service to all internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Ability to work under pressure with a high tolerance for interruptions, and the ability to work with diverse groups of people.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
  • Evening and weekend hours required
  • Must be able to work on your feet for an extended period
