Job description

Design and build playable environments and levels in Roblox Studio from initial blockout through polished, playable spaces
Craft intuitive player flow, pacing, difficulty progression, and reward moments
Translate gameplay mechanics and creative briefs into layouts supporting core loops, campaign objectives, and brand storylines
Build with terrain, parts, meshes, and Roblox Studio tools while considering performance and mobile playability
Playtest levels, gather team feedback, and iterate on layouts, difficulty, and player readability
Integrate brand narratives, IP, and campaign moments natively into Roblox level design
Collaborate with game designers, scripters, artists, and producers from concept through launch
Maintain organized project files and provide handoff notes for scripters and artists

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a Level Designer, Environment Designer, or similar role in Roblox, other UGC gaming platforms, or a game studio environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Roblox Studio, including terrain, parts, meshes, StreamingEnabled workflows, and core building tools
  • Solid understanding of level design principles, including pacing, difficulty curves, player readability, and environmental storytelling
  • Portfolio of built Roblox experiences, levels, or comparable game work
  • Understanding of performance and mobile optimization for Roblox
  • Ability to collaborate with scripters, artists, producers, and creative leads
  • Track record of efficiently taking feedback and iterating on layouts
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication in remote-friendly settings
  • Familiarity with Luau scripting, Blender, Maya, Fortnite Creative/UEFN, or prior branded/genre-specific Roblox experience is nice to have, not required
