Job description

Position Summary: The Intern, Gameday supports the execution of game night and event-day initiatives designed to enhance the fan experience and retain Season Ticket Members. This role assists with arena set-up, promotional activities, and group sales efforts while serving as a friendly, visible representative of the Iowa Wild. By actively engaging with fans and supporting behind-the-scenes operations, the Intern, Gameday helps strengthen community relationships and drive long-term ticketing success.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Help with implementation and set-up initiatives to help retain Season Tickets Members including events and other 'day making' initiatives.
  • Ability to work game nights and support with arena set up and game night initiatives.
  • Ability to work other Iowa Wild related events.
  • Help with any game day initiative or promotions that we are doing for that game night.
  • Help the Group Sales team with the facilitation of Pregame, In-Game, and Post game needs.
  • Comfortable with conversing to prospective Season Ticket Members or Group Buyers during our games.
  • Represent the Iowa Wild at community events to network and implement sales promotions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
Formal Education & Certification:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Sales, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Knowledge & Experience:
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience in the sports industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with database management tools (i.e. CRM).
  • Proficient computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

Personal Attributes:
  • Attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to successfully prioritize and multi-task.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within team environments with a focus on a quality fan and guest experience.

Work Conditions:
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed for games and events.
