Job description

Assistant Professor of Economics

The University of Pittsburgh's Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences Department of Economics seeks an Assistant Professor of Economics to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Pittsburgh, PA, focusing on economic theory. Will also: (i) conduct and publish original research in economic theory in peer-reviewed journals; (ii) advise students and supervise research projects related to economic theory; (iii) engage in departmental and university service, including committee work and collaborative projects; and (iv) participate in academic conferences to contribute to the advancement of economic theory.

Must have a PhD degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Economics or a related degree.

Must also have any experience with or knowledge of: (i) teaching economics, with a focus on game theory and information economics; and (ii) research in dynamic games or disclosure games.

Must also have: (i) at least one paper that is in the revision stage at a leading peer-reviewed economics journal; (ii) at least one working paper related to disclosure games or dynamic games; (iii) at least one additional publication in an economics journal; and (iv) presentations at academic conferences.ย 

Experience can be concurrent.
