Job description

Adecco is hiring Mechanical Inspectors for a leading manufacturing company. We are specifically seeking candidates with a machine shop, CNC machining, or mechanical dimensional inspection background. This position is focused on the inspection of machined parts and components using precision measuring equipment — not assembly or visual-only inspection.

Schedule & Pay

1st Shift

Monday – Thursday 7:00am - 3:30pm Pay: $28.00–$31.00/hour, based on experience

What You'll Do

· Perform mechanical dimensional inspections on machined parts and components to verify conformance to engineering specifications.

· Inspect parts produced through CNC machining and other machine shop processes.

· Use precision inspection equipment, including digital height gages such as Microhite and Tesa-Hite.

· Perform inspections using digital comparators.

· Utilize Keyence Measurement Systems to perform accurate dimensional measurements.

· Read and interpret blueprints for machined parts, including dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.

· Apply a basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) during inspections.

· Document inspection results and identify parts that do not meet required tolerances.

· Work closely with CNC machinists, manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to address dimensional or quality concerns.

· Operate a CMM when applicable; previous CMM experience is helpful but not required.

What We're Looking For

· Previous machine shop experience is strongly preferred.

· Experience with mechanical or dimensional inspection of machined parts is highly preferred.

· Previous CNC Machine Operator or CNC Machinist experience is highly relevant, even if you have not previously held the title of Inspector.

· Must have experience reading blueprints for machined components.

· Basic knowledge of GD&T is required.

· Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment, including digital height gages, digital comparators, Keyence Measurement Systems, and other dimensional inspection tools.

· CMM operation experience is a plus, but not required.

· Candidates coming primarily from assembly or visual inspection environments without mechanical dimensional or machine shop experience may not be the best fit for this position.

Apply Today

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a CNC machining, machine shop, or mechanical inspection background who wants to continue developing their dimensional inspection and quality experience.

If interested, please apply today with an updated resume highlighting your CNC machining, machine shop, mechanical inspection, blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision measurement experience.
