As a driver, your primary responsibility is delivering transportation services which enable residents to be spontaneous and remain mobile, and doing so with a genuine, deep respect for individual autonomy.


Other primary responsibilities include:

  • Generating and extending resident excitement and enthusiasm in all Events and Adventures
  • Assist in planning, organizing and executing amazing events (day to day fun) and exciting adventures for our residents, including residents in Harbor
  • Transport residents to and from various locations of their choosing (e.g., medical appointments, shopping, banks and other events and adventures)
  • Track scheduled transportation in Cubigo, a digital hospitiality platform
  • Complete bus and passenger vehicle safety checks daily, prior to driving bus or passenger vehicle
  • Maintain accurate and current safety documentation for safety checks related to the bus and passenger vehicle
  • Keep the bus and passenger vehicle meticulously clean, inside and out
  • Assure preventative maintenance procedures and documentation is completed per maintenance schedule
  • Immediately inform Events and Adventures Director and Executive Director of any mechanical or safety issues
  • Deliver on the YUSM promise—that through individualized support, residents will feel youthful, stay useful, be spontaneous and remain mobile.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • 25 years of age or older, with a current and valid California commercial driver’s license
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of driving a bus or commercial vehicle
  • Comfortable working with and supporting seniors in the use of technology
  • Experience or interest in interacting with and deeply relating to seniors
  • Meets all applicable licensing and background requirements to work in a licensed RCFE
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Alignment with Tenfold core values: curiosity, creativity, resilience, compassion, intention, and contribution
  • Ability to work Tuesday - Saturday, 8am - 5pm
