About Us

Let's go on an adventure together!

Hey there, we're G Adventures. We're one of the world's leading small group travel companies, and we've always believed that travel isn't just about where you go - it's about how it changes you.

For the last 35 years, we've set out to do things differently. No cookie-cutter tours. No giant buses or cruise ships. And not to mention, as few selfie sticks as possible. Just real humans, travelling your heart out across the world with open minds and a non-stop desire to make our planet better, simply by exploring it.

At G Adventures, our DNA (or GNA, if you will) is built on belonging - where bringing your authentic self to work every day isn't just accepted, it's downright celebrated. For our office crew - you wanna rock a t-shirt with your dog's face on it? We say go for it. For our Chief Experience Officers - you wanna hit the road and call some of the most epic places on Earth your home office? We love that - and we've got you. Wanna spend your days with people you genuinely like? Us too - and we're pretty sure you'll fit right in, wherever that is.

Now about that career of yours - this is the kind of place where you can spread your wings and truly grow into your role. The best part? You get to do it all alongside a passionate, freakishly talented, one-of-a-kind bunch excited to produce top-notch work and spread a ridiculous amount of goodness at the same time.

Feel like this could be the right fit? We think so too, and we're already way too excited to meet you.

About the Role

G Adventures is searching for a passionate, hands-on public relations professional to join our global communications team. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced media relations expert to lead earned media efforts across the U.S., helping tell the stories that inspire people to change lives through travel.

We're looking for someone who has built their career in public relations - someone who knows how to identify a story, pitch it, secure coverage, cultivate journalist relationships, and execute campaigns that deliver measurable results. We're looking for someone who loves the day-to-day work of PR and has a proven track record of turning ideas into headlines.

We work hard, and we play hard. This role offers global travel, a passionate team, an award-winning culture, access to leading industry events, and no shortage of incredible stories waiting to be told.

You will act as the regional PR lead for the United States. The location of the role is negotiable, with Boston or another major U.S. media hub preferred.

Working closely with our global communications and regional marketing teams, you will develop and execute the U.S. earned media strategy, working with top-tier journalists, content creators and partners to amplify G Adventures' mission and brand.

What we're looking for

No two days are the same at G Adventures, but success in this role requires someone who thrives on executing PR campaigns and building relationships that generate earned media.

You must have:

  • A minimum of 6 years of demonstrated public relations experience in an agency or in-house PR team, with earned media as a core responsibility.

  • Hands-on experience pitching media every day and a proven ability to secure meaningful coverage in consumer, trade, business and broadcast outlets.

  • A strong track record of developing and executing PR strategies that translate into measurable earned media results-not just creating communications plans.

  • Extensive experience building, maintaining and leveraging journalist relationships to consistently generate coverage and opportunities.

  • Experience owning the full PR process-from identifying stories, developing messaging and media materials, pitching journalists, managing interviews and press trips, through to measuring campaign success.

  • A proven history of delivering creative media campaigns that increase brand awareness and reputation through earned media.

In addition, we're looking for someone who has:

  • A genuine passion for G Adventures' purpose and a desire to share that passion with media, creators and partners.

  • The ability to represent G Adventures on the ground across the U.S., attending industry events and proactively developing relationships with journalists, creators and strategic partners.

  • The flexibility to travel domestically and internationally.

  • A strong instinct for identifying newsworthy stories and tailoring them to different audiences and media outlets.

  • Creativity and curiosity to develop fresh media angles beyond traditional announcements.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to independently manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.

  • An enviable network of media contacts across consumer, travel, business, broadcast and trade media.

  • Experience developing creator partnerships with clear KPIs and measurable outcomes.

  • Confidence serving as the communications subject matter expert across the business.

  • Strong collaboration skills, working across global teams and stakeholders.

  • Experience using digital PR to support broader SEO and AI/LLM visibility strategies.

  • Experience measuring and reporting on campaign performance using meaningful PR metrics.

  • Experience managing creator campaigns across multiple platforms.

  • A proven ability to develop and secure compelling data-led stories.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the U.S. public relations strategy, ensuring campaigns deliver measurable earned media results aligned with global objectives.

  • Proactively identify newsworthy stories and transform them into compelling media opportunities.

  • Write and distribute press releases, targeted media pitches, briefing materials and other press assets.

  • Pitch journalists daily, building relationships that consistently generate high-quality earned coverage across consumer, trade, business and broadcast media.

  • Maintain and continually grow relationships with key editors, reporters, producers and freelance journalists across the U.S.

  • Work with internal stakeholders to uncover stories and develop media angles that resonate with target audiences.

  • Secure interviews, profile opportunities, commentary and speaking engagements for senior leaders, including founder Bruce Poon Tip, CEO Ben Perlo and VP of Growth Steve Lima.

  • Plan and execute media events, launches and press briefings with regional and global teams.

  • Lead individual and group press trips from planning through execution.

  • Manage influencer and creator relationships, campaigns and performance reporting.

  • Build collaborative relationships with tourism boards, airlines and other strategic partners to create compelling earned media opportunities.

  • Manage all day-to-day press office responsibilities, including responding to media enquiries, maintaining press lists and monitoring coverage.

  • Work alongside the critical incident team on crisis communications and media responses.

  • Track, measure and report on PR performance, demonstrating the impact of campaigns through meaningful metrics and insights.

  • Support Sales and Marketing teams through trade and consumer events.

  • Collaborate closely with global communications and regional marketing teams to maximize campaign impact.

  • Identify, prepare and submit award entries that continue to position G Adventures as a leader in adventure travel and community tourism.

What Do We Offer You?

  • Competitive Total Rewards Package, including exclusive travel perks!

  • Additional days off, including on your birthday!

  • Vacation time for you to recharge

  • Enhanced Parental Leave

  • Meaningful Employee Recognition Program

  • Learning and Growth Opportunities

  • Employee Resource Groups
