Job description

The Test & Evaluation (T&E) Engineer provides technical leadership and hands-on support for the testing, integration, and evaluation of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) AEGIS Combat System (ACS) and AEGIS Weapon System (AWS) baselines. The ideal candidate possesses significant experience with AEGIS systems and understands the processes associated with system verification, validation, integration, and performance assessment in support of U.S. Navy and international customer requirements.

This position works closely with government stakeholders, software and hardware developers, and Navy representatives to ensure AEGIS capabilities are thoroughly tested, documented, and validated prior to delivery and deployment. In addition, the T&E Engineer will: * Lead and support test planning, execution, analysis, and reporting activities for AEGIS Combat System and AEGIS Weapon System capabilities. * Evaluate FMS AEGIS baselines to verify compliance with system requirements, performance specifications, and customer-specific configurations.

* Execute functional, integration, interoperability, and end-to-end testing at the element, system, and multi-site levels. * Analyze system performance, identify deficiencies, and document test results, metrics, and technical assessments. * Support Engineering Test and Evaluation (ET&E) activities throughout the system development lifecycle.

* Review and assess developer test plans, procedures, requirements documentation, and verification artifacts. * Participate in and provide technical input during design and milestone reviews, including IPRs, SDRs, PDRs, CDRs, and Agile program reviews. * Develop and validate test methodologies, collect and analyze test data, and prepare technical recommendations and performance evaluations.

* Isolate, document, and track software and hardware defects through resolution and verification. * Prepare and present technical findings, briefings, and recommendations to Navy, government, contractor, and international customer stakeholders. * Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership for small T&E teams.

* Coordinate with developers, systems engineers, and operational stakeholders to ensure successful test execution and issue resolution. Requirements * Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or related field) and 6+ years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 2+ years of relevant experience, OR Equivalent U.S. Navy operational, technical, or engineering experience supporting AEGIS, Combat Systems, or related naval weapon systems.

* Experience supporting AEGIS Combat System (ACS) and/or AEGIS Weapon System (AWS) testing, integration, operations, or engineering activities. * Experience executing test and evaluation activities for complex software-intensive or hardware-intensive systems. * Experience analyzing system requirements and verifying compliance through structured test methods.

* Experience documenting test results, defects, corrective actions, and technical assessments. * Experience using automated tools for test execution, requirements management, defect tracking, data analysis, or team collaboration. * Strong technical writing and communication skills.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. * Active Secret security clearance. * Preferred Qualifications: * Direct experience supporting AEGIS Foreign Military Sales (FMS) baselines.

* Prior U.S. Navy experience supporting AEGIS destroyers, cruisers, combat systems, missile defense systems, or related warfare programs. * Experience with Combat Systems Engineering Agent (CSEA), shipboard integration, land-based test sites, or developmental testing environments.

* Experience leading or coordinating technical test teams. * Experience preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership, review boards, Navy stakeholders, and international customers. * Familiarity with systems engineering, requirements traceability, verification and validation, and Agile development processes.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000. Equal Opportunity Employer.
