Description:
JOB SUMMARY:

Deliver office furniture in our 26' Box truck. Install product under the direction of the Foreman per manufacturer’s specifications and customer’s furniture plans, blueprints or direction, using power tools. Disassemble and remove office furniture. Specifically, cubicle systems, desks, and chairs.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Observe all safety policies and procedures.
  • Load or assist in loading day’s product and equipment into assigned vehicle.
  • Install product as part of the crew with other team members or contractors assigned to project.
  • Assemble and service various products using necessary power tools.
  • Inspect all products for damages or shortages and notify the foreman of any issues.
  • Clean all products delivered and installed.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork including documenting open issues, and receipt of customer signature.
  • Interact with other employees and end users in a professional manner.
  • Maintain attendance and personal appearance, neatly groomed and in appropriate uniform.

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to drive a 26' NON CDL box truck
  • Ability to read furniture plans and blueprints.
  • Ability to lift and move items 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to load and pack company vehicle if needed.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Valid DOT Medical card
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record required for operating vehicles.
  • Two Years' experience assembling and installing office furniture or similar products.

Commerce Office Furniture is a regional office furniture dealer. We deal mostly in used office furniture. However, we do sell new furniture. We have our own 26' box truck and a company van that we use to deliver and install office furniture around the Delaware Valley and the surrounding states. We have been in business in our current location for over 12 years, but we have over 40 years of experience in the industry.
