About the Role

As a Funeral Attendant, you'll play an important role in supporting the funeral home team by providing thoughtful, respectful service to the families in our care. You'll assist with funeral and memorial services, prepare facilities, support daily operations, and help ensure every detail is handled with professionalism and attention. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, service-oriented, and looking for meaningful work where each day brings the opportunity to make a difference.

Funeral Attendants require flexibility to respond to on-call needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as scheduled.


What You'll Do

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Support funeral directors with visitations, funeral services, memorial services, burials, and other family-focused events
  • Welcome and assist families and guests, creating a compassionate, respectful, and professional experience
  • Prepare and maintain chapels, visitation areas, reception spaces, and other facilities to ensure they are clean, organized, and ready for services
  • Safely operate funeral vehicles and assist with the respectful transfer and transportation of decedents in accordance with company policies and safety standards
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities by responding professionally to removal and transfer needs during assigned shifts
  • Provide general operational support, including service setup, cleanup, facility upkeep, and other duties that help support the daily operations of the funeral home

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience in funeral service, healthcare, or customer service preferred but not required
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100 lbs. with assistance
  • Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
