The University of Miami Health System ("UHealth") IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a Full-time Shipping & Receiving Clerk to work in Miami, Florida.
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk assembles and prepares items for shipment and receives incoming shipments. Further, an employee in this position maintains detailed reports of items received, and deliveries and distributions made.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
  • Unpacks materials and supplies and ensures accuracy.
  • Makes delivery of items received to appropriate location or department.
  • Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record-keeping purposes.
  • Retrieves surplus equipment or supplies.
  • Requests product return authorizations and processes required documents.
  • Tracks orders and enters information regarding order and delivery details into appropriate database.
  • Responds to inquiries and concerns regarding ordered items.
  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent/relevant experience, certification or license
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
  • Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
  • Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.

Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
