Job description

Role Overview:
This role is for a Windows Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong L3-level expertise in Windows Server Administration, focusing on providing critical support, troubleshooting complex issues, and automating tasks in mission-critical environments. The administrator will manage and support Windows Servers, ensuring high availability and business continuity, and collaborate with various technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide L3-level support for Windows Server Administration in mission-critical environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex OS, performance, SQL Clustering, File permission, storage, and network level issues.
  • Install & Configure Microsoft Failover Cluster Windows server.
  • Perform Server upgrade migration on different Flavors of Windows OS.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues related to VMs and physical servers.
  • Manage and support Windows Server ensuring high availability and business continuity.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
  • Automate system administration and configuration management tasks using Ansible.
  • Implement system hardening, patching, upgrades, and security best practices.
  • Collaborate with applications, VMware, network, storage, and security teams.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24x7 production support.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
