Fulltime Felony Friendly information

What are the most likely jobs for someone with a felony?

Fulltime felony-friendly jobs often include roles in construction, manufacturing, warehousing, food service, and landscaping, which may have fewer background restrictions. These positions typically value work ethic and skills over criminal history and may require a valid driver's license or basic certifications. Job seekers should research employers with known policies on hiring individuals with criminal records and consider programs that assist with reentry employment.

What companies are felony friendly?

Felony-friendly companies are organizations that hire individuals with criminal records, including those with felony convictions. These companies often focus on skills, work ethic, and rehabilitation, and may include industries like construction, manufacturing, food service, and certain retail chains. What does 'Fulltime Felony Friendly' mean in a job context?

A 'Fulltime Felony Friendly' job refers to a full-time position where the employer is open to hiring individuals who have a felony conviction on their record. These employers typically do not automatically disqualify candidates based on past felonies and may offer equal employment opportunities regardless of criminal history. This approach helps those with a criminal record reintegrate into the workforce and build stable careers. However, specific qualifications and background checks may still apply depending on the nature of the job and company policies.

What types of support or accommodations do employers typically provide to help individuals with felony convictions succeed in full-time roles?

Employers who offer felony-friendly full-time positions often provide tailored support to help individuals reintegrate into the workforce. This may include mentorship programs, on-the-job training, and access to employee assistance programs. Some organizations also foster inclusive work environments through open communication, clear expectations, and regular feedback. Additionally, many employers collaborate with community organizations to offer resources such as counseling, transportation assistance, or continued education, all aimed at supporting long-term success and career advancement.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Felony-Friendly Employee, and why are they important?

To thrive in a felony-friendly employment role, you generally need a strong work ethic, reliability, and the basic skills relevant to the specific job, such as manual labor, customer service, or technical abilities. Familiarity with any industry-specific tools, safety regulations, or job-specific certifications can enhance your employability. Strong soft skills like communication, teamwork, and adaptability set candidates apart by demonstrating professionalism and the ability to contribute positively to the workplace. These qualities help ensure successful reintegration, job retention, and a productive work environment.

Job description

We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to support the Community Manager in maintaining an 85-site manufactured home community.
While many residents maintain their own lots, this role is responsible for maintaining vacant sites, common areas, and assisting with general community maintenance needs. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work, basic repairs, and takes pride in keeping a community clean and well-maintained.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the Community Manager with work orders, including light plumbing repairs, unclogging sewer lines (using a company-provided sewer snake), and other maintenance requests as needed
  • Maintain curb appeal by mowing, trimming, and weed control on vacant pads and common areas (equipment and materials provided)
  • Operate a backhoe (experience preferred, but willingness to learn is acceptable)
  • Perform seasonal duties, including mowing during warmer months and snow plowing in the winter using company equipment
  • Assist with general maintenance and occasional home refurbishments as needed
  • Be available for occasional after-hours or emergency maintenance requests
  • Maintain tools and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
  • Plow roads in the winter with the company vehicle

What We Value:
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Willingness to learn and expand skill set
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Clean and organized work habits
  • Friendly and professional demeanor
  • Energetic and eager to take on new challenges

Requirements
  • Previous experience in maintenance and/or landscaping (references required)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must have own basic tools
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Applicants must be able to pass a background check. Because this role involves access to residential communities and interaction with residents, certain criminal convictions (including violent, sexual, theft-related, or recent felony offenses) may disqualify applicants. All background checks are reviewed individually and in accordance with applicable law.

Benefits
  • 2 weeks of paid vacation
  • Paid holidays
