What you will have an opportunity to do:

The Barista is responsible for but not limited to crafting exceptional coffee and espresso beverages in addition to food items such as pastries and light fare while delivering anticipatory, personalized service reflective of a luxury resort experience. This role upholds the highest standards of quality, presentation, and hospitality, ensuring each guest interaction is warm, refined, and memorable. The Barista contributes to an elevated cafe atmosphere through attention to detail, product knowledge, and a commitment to excellence.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare and present coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision, consistency, and an emphasis on elevated presentation standards.

  • Deliver intuitive, personalized service by engaging guests in a professional and polished manner, anticipating needs and exceeding expectations.

  • Handle and prepare light food items such as pastries, sandwiches, and breakfast offerings

  • Ensure food is presented attractively and in line with luxury hospitality standards

  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all cafe offerings, including coffee origins, flavor profiles, and preparation methods.

  • Maintain a pristine and inviting cafe environment, ensuring all service areas, equipment, and guest-facing spaces meet luxury cleanliness and presentation standards at all times.

  • Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems with accuracy and discretion, handling all transactions in a professional manner.

  • Monitor and maintain product quality by ensuring freshness, proper storage, and adherence to established recipes and standards.

  • Assist with inventory management, including tracking usage, restocking supplies, and communicating needs to leadership in a timely manner.

  • Adhere strictly to all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations, maintaining compliance with resort and regulatory standards.

  • Support seamless daily operations by executing opening and closing procedures with attention to detail and efficiency.

  • Maintain and care for all coffee equipment, ensuring proper calibration, cleanliness, and reporting any maintenance concerns promptly.

  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure a cohesive and elevated guest experience across the resort.

What are we looking for?

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Previous experience in a luxury cafe, hotel, or high-end food & beverage environment preferred.

  • Passion for coffee, hospitality, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a polished and professional demeanor.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment while maintaining composure.

  • Basic math skills and experience handling financial transactions.

  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
