Store Manager Job Description
Job Type: Full-time
Wireless Nation, a Verizon Wireless Zone retailer, requires a diverse set of leadership skills, and as a manager, you are a master of them all. In the storeโ€™s fast-paced, dynamic environment, you exhibit composure as you learn from each new challenge. You build and inspire high-performing teams of unique individuals who deliver positive experiences for customers as they learn, shop, and get support. As a Wireless Store Manager, you are responsible for leading by example and inspiring your team to create ownership opportunities for customers on the sales floor. Behind the scenes, you oversee operations such as inventory and visual merchandising. You actively build your teams by training, developing, and coaching team members in all these disciplines and mo
Why We Want to Work with You:
  • Youโ€™re great with peopleโ€”while the industry is technology-focused, that technology just sits unused if a trusted advisor doesnโ€™t show people what it can do, what problems it can solve, and how it can improve their lives.
  • Youโ€™re focused on successโ€”you know what you want out of work and out of life, and you have the drive to get what you want.
  • You would hate to be bored at workโ€”in this industry, technology advances fast and drives change, so thereโ€™s always something new to learn, use, and enjoy.
  • You love friendly competitionโ€”we have frequent contests that are designed to be fun and challenging (and with great prizes as well).
  • If youโ€™ve sold beforeโ€”great! Youโ€™ll love our compensation structure. Our pay structure is the most competitive in the industry...we know because we have seen them all!
  • If you havenโ€™t sold beforeโ€”also great! If you love working with the public and talking to people, working on our sales team can help turn that passion into income. Many of the people whoโ€™ve learned sales with our organization either stay with us or use the skills theyโ€™ve learned in their time here to transition to other opportunities, or even to start their own businesses. With a career in sales, you can learn valuable skills that will help you become more successful in any job or industry.
Why You Want to Work with Us:
  • Benefits include PTO/sick time, health, dental, and vision coverage, flexible scheduling, 401(k), referral bonusโ€™, amp; discounts on phone plans, devices, and accessories.
  • Most of our leadership started where you will be startingโ€”the CEO, the Director of Operations, the District Managers, and the Store Managers all started as sales reps with the company.
  • Weโ€™re partnered with the best, most trusted wireless carrier in the countryโ€”when you work with us, youโ€™re selling a premium product with national and regional advertising behind it.
  • We wonโ€™t tell you weโ€™re a family business, weโ€™ll show you itโ€”the company started as a family-run business and remains one. We have folks from the sales rep level all the way to upper management who have been with us for many years. And, as a company, we get together to celebrate our staff and their successes.
Responsibilities
  • Foster a culture that helps us maintain a safe and enjoyable workplace
  • Be an active participant in all required meetings, trainings and conference calls
  • Scheduling sales team based on business needs
  • Maintain the highest standards while interacting with our employees and customers
  • Meeting or exceeding assigned sales goals
  • Hire and develop a high performing sales team
  • Store merchandising and inventory
  • Operational excellence of the store entrusted to you
  • Community engagement and localized events
Qualifications
  • Preferred two years sales experience but will train the right applicant.
  • Demonstrates leadership ability with at least two years of experience in a business setting and at least three years of experience in customer-facing retail sales environment selling customer solutions.
  • Proven ability to drive amazing customer experiences โ€” and sales results โ€” through team development.
  • Experience with diplomatically managing multiple commitments to sales, customers, staff, and operations.
