Principal Activities:

  • Mediate all types of mediations as needed, to include Small Claims Court, Landlord-Tenant, Family cases and others as directed.
  • Mediate and act as Court Lead for Small Claims Court
  • Create and deliver exceptional training courses.
  • Collaborate with Training Coordinator to create custom training quotes.ย 
  • Coordinate and prepare special projects assigned by senior management.
  • Provide online training technical support when needed to ensure seamless program delivery.
  • Work with judges, courts, and volunteers in the small claims court setting.
  • Assist with maintaining files, computer data, and preparation of monthly reports when needed.
  • Assist Practicum Coordinator with projects as needed.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality and ensure all information shared during mediation remains confidential unless there is a legal requirement.
  • Coordinate, develop, and enhance other projects and DRC programs as assigned.
  • Other program duties as assigned.
  • Support all DRC programs as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in a relevant field or related work in lieu of degree.
  • Certificated Mediator (Mediation Practitioner Certification)
  • Demonstrated experience in project supervision, outreach, marketing, and customer service.
  • Extensive experience in training.
  • Belief in alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and the community.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently or with a team on complex tasks.
  • High level of proficiency in computer and word processing skills.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and databases.ย 
  • Proficiency in Zoom.
  • Strong typing skills.
  • Bilingual skills beneficial
