Job description

Position Title:
Warehouse Clerk
Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform all duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor/Manager/Director.
Stocking and Deliveries
  • Receives and assists drivers in unloading incoming freight items and packages
  • Verifies shipment are received and in good condition
  • Inform the appropriate departments of a freight delivery for coordination with Logistics for delivery
  • Maintain and perform basic repairs to warehouse equipment and report any problems to supervisor in a timely manner
  • Delivery UPS, USPS, FedEx, Amazon, DHL and other shipping vendors to appropriate departments and obtain proof of delivery
  • Coordinate the boxes and skids received for temporary or permanent storage in the warehouse and on the dock
  • Assist with the processing of incoming and outgoing mail and delivery to the Emmitsburg USPS
  • Assist with the sorting, package preparation, entering in the tracking system and dispensing packages and mail to students
  • Prepare outgoing UPS (and other shipping vendors) for shipment via packing items and preparing outgoing labels
  • Maintain some of the basic warehouse items used by Campus Environment and the rest of the campus

Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:
  • Ability to use computer (Windows)
  • Must be able to read, write and perform basic math skills
  • Must be able to lift 65 pounds
  • Must be able to work well with others
  • Warehouse or shipping experience

Vehicle Usage
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Usage of University vehicle to make all deliveries (van or car)
  • Ensure vehicle is fueled, snow removed and is functioning properly
  • Report any vehicle issues to supervisors
  • Operate forklift and pallet jack

Salary/Benefits:
Minimum Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
