Job description

Summary/Objective

This person should be an outgoing, energetic, and creative sales professional who is a clear self-starter with strong sales and relationship skills. This position will be involved with selling and maintaining ticket sales and managing the box office and ticket sales programs.

Essential Functions

· Responsible for generating maximum revenue for the Kansas City Monarchs team through full menu marketing ticket programs

· Responsible for managing all aspects of the Ticketing Department

· Provide a high level of customer service and hospitality to all customers and the public

· Sell full-season ticket packages, partial ticket plans, and groups outings

· Manage personal accounts and provide highest level of customer service throughout the season

· Strict management of departmental budget for revenue and expenses

· Fulfill game night responsibilities, including, but not limited to answering the incoming sales line, assisting with sales initiatives and/or prospecting clients at the stadium

· Receive and act quickly on requests and complaints

· Attend outside events with the purpose of selling ticket packages and corporate sales

· Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities and closed sales

· Obtain quotes and purchase all essential ticketing supplies for upcoming season

· Maintain the ticket system and records

· Provide detailed daily balancing reports for accounting department through ticketing system

· Manage ticket department trainees, interns, and game day staff

· Manage and coordinate ticket sales for non-traditional events scheduled at the stadium

· Manage tickets for all events at the stadium

· Attend sales meetings and offer progressive ideas for keeping clientele and maximizing revenue

· Manage and facilitate season ticket member renewals during the off-season

· Any other duties as assigned by ownership/management and as opportunities arise

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Strength in time management, administrative ability, organization, and customer service skills

2. Ability to communicate effectively with the public in a professional manner

3. Ability to maintain composure and exercise sound judgement and discretion when dealing with all fans, customers, and employees

4. Maintain a professional appearance by following the Blue Wahoos code of conduct handbook

5. Ability to remain focused on sales goals and work independently

6. Ability to attend company events

7. Ability to maintain reports and ticketing system

8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

9. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

10. Ability to pull tarp and other manual labor tasks

11. Experience and knowledge with Tickets.com ticketing system preferred

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience in customer service required

2-3 years prior Box Office experience in Sport/Entertainment industry preferred

1-2 years prior management experience preferred

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours will vary to include evening and weekend work according to business needs.
